Tuning studio Hennessey Performance (USA) decided to celebrate its 25th anniversary by introducing on the race track a tuned version of one of the fastest supercars - the Hennessey Venom GT model.

The car had a difficult task - to overcome the current record of maximum speed, set by another supercar Bugatti Veyron in the "Super Sport" modification. For this, the car had to reach a speed of over 408.7 km / h. Looking ahead, it's worth noting that the Venom GT coped with the task without much difficulty.

Note that designed on the basis of the British racing model Lotus Exige, the Venom GT Spyder has a number of striking differences. Hennessey Performance has seriously redesigned the supercar's body and installed a new 1,451-horsepower bi-turbo engine running on bioethanol.

In addition, the engineers of the studio modernized the standard 6-speed transmission, which also affected the speed indicators of the model. As a result of the transformations done, the relatively modest Exige has reincarnated into a real high-speed beast. According to Hennessey representatives, the first hundred supercar can be overcome in just 2.4 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 427.35 km / h. This is exactly the speed that the convertible demonstrated in the sprint held on March 25, which allowed it to win the status of the fastest convertible to date. It is curious that along with the title of the fastest car, the car received the status of the most expensive convertible, since the cost of a supercar is $ 1.3 million.

According to the representatives of Hennessey, the studio plans to release only three copies of the Venom GT Spyder.
