2013 was a good year for the crossover market. How were sales distributed, and which manufacturers are leading in this list? Autoua.net reported that Kia Sportage and two Nissan models lead the J-segment, with other automakers lagging behind the top three.

1. Kia Sportage

The most bought crossover in Ukraine, Kia Sportage, has been produced directly at the Ukrainian enterprise for some time now. For 9 months they were bought by 2,568 Ukrainians. This Korean crossover comes off the assembly line of the Zaporozhye automobile plant, where they make it SKD. The main advantage of the Korean model, which made it possible to bypass competitors, is now a diesel 1.7-liter engine of the basic modification at a price of 213 610 hryvnia. At a slightly higher price, for 217,300 hryvnia, the Kia Sportage is offered with an automatic transmission and a gasoline engine.

For those wishing to purchase an all-wheel drive model with a diesel engine, KIA Sportage has released a car with a two-liter unit (its cost is UAH 277,160). In addition to three different engines and equipment levels, KIA presents 6 modifications that allow customers to choose a car according to their own tastes. There are also promotional discounts.

2. Nissan Qashqai

Ukrainian consumers took the second place for Nissan Qashqai models, in which it firmly entrenched in the list of preferences. 2,506 cars were sold from January to September 2013. This comfortable crossover, equipped with a multi-link rear suspension, has repeatedly confirmed its position as a trendsetter in the European SUV market, where it often turned out to be the most bought SUV. Nisan Qashqai sold on the Ukrainian market crossovers with 1.6-liter or 2-liter petrol engines, all-wheel drive or with front-wheel drive, automatic or manual transmissions. Perhaps the lack of diesels prevented this manufacturer from entering the top three? In any case, the company decided to fill this gap, and from the next 2014 to bring a diesel car to the Ukrainian market. Manufacturers are not embarrassed by the fact that the price of a diesel engine will be slightly higher than today's price for gasoline units.

3. Nissan Juke

The Nissan company managed to take the third step on the pedestal of the leading sellers. It turned out to be a small crossover Nissan Juke for the city with 2070 sales. A somewhat shocking design became a highlight that did not scare away customers, but only provoked buyers and customers. The most affordable "Juke" in November was a "SUV" with a 1.6-liter engine with a power of 94 hp. The price for it was reduced to less than 150 thousand hryvnia, to an average of 146 670 hryvnia. Diesels were not offered in 2013. The production of "Nissan" in Ukraine is not established, the buyers are offered cars assembled in the UK. 4. Toyota RAV4

Another "Japanese" almost caught up with the top three: Toyоta RAV4, model year 2013. He is in the honorable fourth position with 1979 sales in 9 months.
