We are talking about the Jeep concern, and its updated Compass SUV. The updated Jeep Compass, in addition to changes in appearance and technical characteristics, received a completely new platform.

In general, the SUV received some resemblance to the grand brother of the Grand Cherokee, but the individual features of the car can still be traced. The voluminous bumper of the 2018-2019 Jeep Compass protrudes slightly forward and gives the SUV a lot of decisiveness. Additional optics options include automatic headlight adaptation in the dark, which allows the driver to pay more attention to driving. Aggressiveness to the SUV is given by an extended air intake, as well as a 200 mm ground clearance, which will delight any Russian motorist.
In profile, the Jeep Compass 2017-2018 has a sporty silhouette, thanks to the sloping roof and tapered side windows closer to the stern. The rims with a diameter of 18 inches have an attractive pattern. Muscular wheel arches with inserts made of high-strength plastic for protection successfully harmonize with the disks.

Thanks to the updated platform, the new generation Jeep Compass has a sufficient supply of free space for passengers and the driver. Especially in this regard, the back row boasts, where three passengers can comfortably sit at once without much difficulty. Even though the SUV has a wheelbase of just 2.63m, there is indeed plenty of space. It should be noted that this is really a small value for this class of cars.
The driver's seat boasts excellent lateral and lumbar support. The multifunction steering wheel is stylishly designed in soft plastic. From it you can control optics, multimedia and other auxiliary functions. The dashboard may differ depending on the configuration of the SUV. It can be classic round wells, or it can be a display with analog devices, with the integration of electronic indicators, for example, such as an indicator of the fuel level and the temperature of the cooling unit.
The center console has an interesting design in a purely American style. These are vertical air deflectors and grouped buttons. Also immediately striking is the "washer" of driving modes control, of which there are only five. There is also control and four-wheel drive, which is very rare in our time. In the cabin there is a huge number of nets, pockets and small niches for storing small things, it is very convenient to fold things while traveling.
The second row is formally molded for three riders, however, only a child can net in the middle. And it's not that an adult won't fit, it's just the shape of the sofa cushion. A wide armrest with cup holders installed in it also hints at two passengers.
As for entertainment, they are complemented by a 12-channel speaker system that reproduces high-quality sound. A huge amount of information can be displayed on the display: navigation, multimedia, the state of the four-wheel drive, from here you can control the climate in the cabin, communications and more.
The luggage compartment is easily transformed, the second row seat back in the Jeep Compass 2017 can be folded both to the side and rear. This is very convenient because you don't have to go around the car. The luggage compartment with 4 passengers is 458 liters, while with the backrest folded down, it will be possible to get almost 1,300 liters of usable space. By the way, no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to fold the chairs into a flat floor.

And finally, the third engine of the 2017 Jeep Compass is a 2.1-liter turbodiesel, 136 horsepower, 320 Nm. The traction reserve is simply huge, and therefore the maximum speed is exactly 200 km / h. Consumption in the city is about 8 liters, on the highway up to 6.6 liters of diesel fuel. Such a unit works only with a six-speed mechanics, and the drive can be either full or just front.
It has already been said that the driver can choose one of five road surface modes: automatic mode, snow, sand, mud and rocks. Also, the SUV is equipped with a lowered range and a forced all-wheel drive, which will turn itself off at a speed of 50 km / h.
In terms of safety, in addition to 8 airbags, the Jeep Compass can be equipped with a blind spot and all-round view camera. Among the safety sensors, there is a parking assistant, as well as a sensor for warning of a frontal collision and a reader for road signs and markings. The cruise control is adaptive here, with emergency braking rights in case of danger of a head-on collision.
Cost of Jeep Compass 2017-2018
On the Russian car markets, the updated Jeep Compass will appear in the second half of 2017. The minimum cost of an SUV will be 1,800,000 rubles. The luxury configuration will cost Jeep connoisseurs 2,800,000 rubles.
