Lots of advertising campaigns, dozens of previews of various concepts and a whole 31 years of hiatus since the last production of the legendary Ford Bronco. Almost simultaneously, the company presented three different Ford Bronco, in three and five-door bodies. The five-door, in turn, is divided into standard and sports versions, which, by the way, differ quite well from each other. In our case, consider the classic 3-door and the new 5-door Ford Bronco in a regular body, not a sport version.

It is the Ford Bronco 3DR that is considered a classic, since previously there were simply no 5 doors. The sixth generation is recognizable in features and resembles the "old man" well, but with modernized elements. Looking ahead, I would like to say that there will be a large number of modifications of the Ford Bronco in any body and it is likely that more and more new options will appear.

As expected, the classic Ford Bronco will receive a removable hardtop (for 3 or 5 door versions), with the ability to remove individual parts of the roof. Under the hood of the novelty, one of two gasoline units of the EcoBoost family, with a volume of 2.3 or 2.7 liters, can be installed. A 7-speed mechanic or a 10-speed automatic can work in pair. The main highlight is hidden in the all-wheel drive; there will be two types of them at the buyer's choice. Differences in the gear ratio of the underdrive (by 2.72 or 3.06).

An interesting point is that the induced parameters of the Ford Bronco are standard equipment. If necessary, a 2.3-liter engine can be replaced with a 2.7-liter one, as well as change the transmission and four-wheel drive. Top modifications cannot be downgraded in characteristics.

Until the official day of the premiere, the manufacturer in every possible way hid the real design of the new Ford Bronco. Only now, after the official premiere, can we see the new 6th generation of the SUV. The appearance of the new Ford Bronco changes depending on the configuration and modification, while in addition the manufacturer already offers at least 200 different parts in terms of tuning and accessories.
The front of the Ford Bronco SUV looks modern, menacing and in the literal sense of the word is designed for off-road driving. Many will say that this model is somewhat similar to the Toyota FJ Cruiser, but in fact it was in this style that the old Bronco was made, which was discontinued 31 years ago.

The front of the SUV is distinguished by round LED optics, with LED daytime running lights edging. Another very unusual detail is the LED repeat indicators located on either side of the circular optics. In some configurations, they can act as daytime running lights. The most prominent are the direction indicators that are located closer to the radiator grille. The radiator grill itself, or rather the plastic "mask", stands out no less. It can only be black and only made of plastic, but most of all the branded inscription of the Bronco model stands out, in capital letters in the center of the radiator grille.

The austere look of the front end of the Ford Bronco is complemented by an equally formidable bumper made of hard black plastic. The bumper is complemented by a pair of towing hooks and, of course, engine protection, since the bumper is rather decorative than it serves as a protection. As an addition, the buyer is offered various additional protections, foglights or other lighting. It should be understood that the Ford Bronco received an image, but the further location or refinement of parts depends on the wishes of the buyer.

The bonnet of the new Ford Bronco has received all the parts needed for a modern SUV. At the very beginning, above the optics, there are hooks for stretch marks. There won't be any special details or bends on the hood, the windshield of the SUV is flat, similar to that in the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The design of the front part of the Ford Bronco certainly did not receive streamlined elements or laser optics, but do not forget that the main task of the car is driving off-road and only then on general-purpose roads. A bit rough, but it was in this style that the last 5th generation Ford Bronco SUV rolled off the assembly line more than 30 years ago. It is worth noting that there is no difference at the front between the 3rd and 5th door versions.

The side part of the Ford Bronco turned out to be much more interesting, there is something to see and something to be surprised at. Every detail suggests that the new SUV will suit even the most demanding customer. The first thing that catches your eye is the massive wheel arches made of plastic, if necessary, they can easily be done in the field.

The side doors of the new Bronco look stylish and modern. As already mentioned, the choice will provide a 3-oh or 5-door modification. As standard, the front doors are blind at the bottom, with small glass panes. If this is not enough, then as an option, they propose to install doors with an additional hole at the bottom, also glazed. If this is not enough, but you want something unusual, then the side doors of the Ford Bronco can simply be removed from the fasteners without additional tools. This style is a bit like the Jeep Wrangler, where the doors can also be removed if desired. The designers have chosen the body color quite well for the style of the SUV, the buyer is offered:

Representatives of the company in every possible way hint that the colors are different for the 3-oh and 5-door modification of the Ford Bronco, but in fact they are identical, they are simply arranged in a different order in the catalog. A two-tone color for the Ford Bronco is offered, according to the standard, the roof is black, but if desired, it can be painted in body color or white.

Side mirrors Ford Bronco, located in the corner of the front windows, turned out to be modern and stylish. According to the standard, their body is made of black plastic, but for a separate surcharge, they are offered to paint it to match the body color. The functionality of the mirrors also does not graze the rear ones, the list includes an electric adjustment drive, heating, automatic folding, LED repeaters of turns and memory for several tuning modes.

The basis for the new Ford Bronco was 16 ″ steel wheels, 17 ″ aluminum wheels or 18 ″ alloy wheels. As it should be for an SUV, the tires are simply huge, depending on the modification they offer 30 "(P255 / 70), 32" (P255 / 75) or 33 "(LT285 / 70).

At the rear, the Ford Bronco SUV looks more like the new Land Rover Defender. The rear LED feet are vertically extended and located only on the body of the SUV. To save space in the cabin, and from the bottom so as not to interfere, the spare wheel was placed on the tailgate. The rear bumper turned out to be of modest size, although why a large bumper for off-road driving.

Now the most basic and probably interesting detail is the rear window.Firstly, it opens, for this it is enough to push the spare wheel aside and the glass will rise up. Secondly, the entire rear part of the glass with the body can be removed, thereby obtaining an open rear part. For the 3-door modification, only the central pillars will remain, but for the 5-door SUV, the rear pillars have been replaced with curved pipes that act as a frame and stretch from the B-pillars to the rear stops.

Finally, it remains to consider the roof of the new Ford Bronco 2021. Both in the 3-door and 5-door modification of the Ford Bronco (with the exception of the Sport version), the roof can be folded. According to the manufacturer, the roof is rigid and consists of three separate parts. Each of the parts can be removed, thus making the car open.

It is due to the fact that the roof is removable front part of the fasteners of the side rails is fixed above the windshield, and not on the side of the front doors. No sunroof or panoramic roof in these modifications is provided yet.

As a conclusion about the new Ford Bronco - there is something to be surprised and something to surprise. The car resembles the Land Rover Defender in appearance to many, but still the SUV retains the features of the old 5th generation Bronco. The classic body is presented on 3 doors, but the highlight is the 5-door body, which was not previously available. In addition to standard equipment and exterior parts, the manufacturer already offers at least 200 elements to improve design and performance. Most likely, this is not the last presented version of the Ford Bronco design and in the future there will be new modifications with separately modified body parts. By the way, do not confuse these modifications of the Ford Bronco with the Bronco Sport equipment, the cars differ in design and body structure.

The interior of the new SUV

Having dealt with the exterior of the Ford Bronco, it becomes interesting how the interior of the new SUV looks like. Since the car is for the most part designed for extreme and off-road trips, you should not initially expect much comfort. In fact, everything is here. According to the manufacturer, the interior is not afraid of dust and dirt, and the instruments, control buttons and the display have received a dustproof coating and many rubber bands.

The front panel of the Ford Bronco turned out to be rough and almost even vertically. The central part, as expected, was taken under the 8 "display of the multimedia system and a pair of rectangular air ducts (for top versions, or optionally, a 12" multimedia display is available). Android Auto and Apple CarPlay served as the basis for multimedia at the same time, while all system updates or remote control can be carried out via Wi-Fi or 4G LTE mobile communication.

Not quite standard, the designers approached the all-wheel drive control panel, they decided to place it above the multimedia display. In addition to the differential lock control buttons, the emergency gang button, USB connectors and wireless charging are also located here. It is also worth noting a proprietary tripod along the panel. You can install a holder for a smartphone, an action camera or other gadgets on it, which should be at hand at the time of movement.

Below the display, there is a Start / Stop button for the engine, an audio control panel, and a quick access button for a rear-view camera. There is also a dual-zone climate control panel, steering wheel and front seat heating control. It all looks simple, but more, in fact, is not needed for off-road. To highlight the new SUV, on the front panel, on the front passenger side, the designers have added the model lettering, with LED backlighting on top.

The next in line is the central tunnel and, depending on the modification of the Ford Bronco, it will differ. At the very beginning, for a complete set with a manual transmission, a four-wheel drive control washer is installed, here is also a small compartment for small things.

If you have a complete set with an automatic transmission, then the all-wheel drive washer will be behind the transmission lever. A couple of cup holders were also placed here. An interesting solution was the window regulator buttons for 5 doors. Since the doors of the Ford Bronco SUV are removable, the buttons are located at the end of the center armrest. The armrest itself turned out to be massive, with additional USB ports inside and a spacious compartment. For 3-door doors, the power window buttons are located on the door panels as standard.

Now let's look at the Ford Bronco salon itself and here there are differences between the 3-oh and 5-door modification. So the 3-door Ford Bronco is designed to accommodate 4 passengers in a 2 + 2 ratio. The five-door modification will be able to accommodate 5 passengers according to the 2 + 3 formula.

The three-door modification of the Ford Bronco is designed for 4 seats, with two separate seats in front and a pair of separate seats in the second row. This is done so that the seats can be folded down without any problems and the volume of the trunk can be increased. The five-door Bronco is designed to fit 3 passengers in the second row, thanks to which it received a sofa, and not separate seats. If necessary, the seats can be folded in a 60/40 ratio, thereby also increasing the luggage compartment space.

The front seats of the Ford Bronco look rich, massive lateral support, high back and comfortable fit. In most cases, seat adjustment is electrical, but mechanical adjustment is not excluded, especially modifications for off-road driving. On a pleasant note, it is worth noting heating and air cooling, as well as memory for several modes. The upholstery of the new Ford Bronco is made of high-quality fabric or leather, so that it was easy to clean the interior after country trips.

Interior colors can be the most unpredictable:

This is a minimal list of what will come standard on a Ford Bronco. The manufacturer does not exclude the option of decorating the salon to its own taste. In addition, the buyer is offered to choose inserts around the perimeter of the cabin made of wood, polished aluminum or other more expensive materials.

We can say that although these are modified parts for the Ford Bronco, they can also be found in other cars of this class. But there is one highlight, which was equipped with a 3-oh and 5-door complete set with removable seats - sealing from water, the ability to wash the interior with running water. As a rule, the floor of an SUV is covered with a special covering made of plastic or rubber. In addition, holes with special plugs are made in the floor. After driving off-road, even with the doors removed, it is enough to open the holes and rinse everything off with water.

Finally, consider the driver's seat of the Ford Bronco. The dashboard looks rude, but for a real SUV with a long history, this is it. Initially, it was assumed that the dashboard will be completely digital, but so far only a combined version is known. A round dial speedometer and tachometer are installed on the sides, and the center of the panel was taken under the 8 ″ color display of the on-board computer.

The steering wheel of a Ford Bronco SUV looks more like a Mustang steering wheel. Firstly, it is round in shape and fits comfortably in the hands, and secondly, the central part is occupied by the corporate logo in the form of a horse, but still it is not the same as on the Mustang. The steering wheel itself is designed for three spokes, two of which are reserved for function buttons. The steering wheel can be adjusted in height and reach, which is also very convenient when driving off-road.

Although the interior of the Ford Bronco SUV looks without any special details, you understand that it is designed for off-road or extreme travel. On the other hand, here you can find everything you need, a multimedia system, climate control, leather interior lining and a huge number of all sorts of little things that will facilitate driving in extreme conditions.

The new Ford Bronco SUV will be able to surprise with good technical characteristics.Under the hood of classic modifications in 3 or 5-door versions, two units of the EcoBoost family are available, with a volume of 2.3 or 2.7 liters. What the suspension of the Ford Bronco SUV will be, the manufacturer is still silent, but clearly it will be the set that can easily withstand off-road conditions and maximize passenger comfort.

The manufacturer has not yet disclosed many technical characteristics of the new Ford Bronco, thereby restraining the intrigue of the buyer. According to representatives of the company, in the near future they will present modified versions of the Bronco, which will be purely intended for off-road driving or racing.

Since the new Ford Bronco has not yet officially entered the automotive market, there is not a lot of information about safety and comfort systems. Among those that are already known, the list includes:

Removable roof, removable doors, mechanisms designed for off-road - this is the minimum list of what Ford has already been able to conquer the hearts of fans of extreme travel and just off-road travel. As it was said at the time of the world premiere of the SUV, the Ford Bronco is now not just a horse, but a whole family of horses, and this is true, because 3 versions are immediately presented, two of which we have considered in this review.
